Fisher Investments Releases Video Updates on Market and Economy

New videos examine the state of the economy and stock market

Two new videos were released on the Fisher Investments YouTube channel examining the state of the US economy and stock market, along with a forecast for the remainder of 2012.

In the first video, “Underappreciated Indicators of Economic Strength,” Fisher Investments research analysts recap several economic factors many may have missed, including the Leading Economic Indicator series at its highest level since 2008 and sharply rising retail sales. In Fisher Investments’ view, these underappreciated factors speak to the hidden strength of the global economy today.

The second video is the executive summary of the latest Fisher Investments “Capital Markets Update”—a discussion with members of the firm’s Investment Policy Committee—outlining their forecast for the balance of 2012 and answering some common investor questions. Although the full Capital Markets Update video is reserved for clients, Fisher Investments has made this executive summary available to provide a brief glimpse of the firm’s market thinking.
